PT Kencana Sawit Indonesia (KSI), a subsidiary of Wilmar, collaborates with the Indonesian Kalaweit Foundation on the conservation of Siamang gibbons (Symphalangus syndactylus) in their high conservation value (HCV) areas. This conservation program, which focuses on the Siamang species, aims to reintroduce them to their natural habitat. The program has successfully released 21 Siamang individuals, enabling them to exhibit natural behaviors in the wild, and has also facilitated the addition of new Siamang individuals.
