Wilmar in collaboration with BSR and other consumer goods companies, is implementing a Child Protection Policy Implementation Manual on plantations in Indonesia and Malaysia. The initiative aims to protect children's rights in the agriculture industry, particularly in oil palm operations. BSR is working with local implementing partners to pilot the manual in selected plantations and assess its effectiveness, to build industry capacity to address child protection issues. Lessons learned will be shared with Wilmar's supplier base in both countries ongoing until 2024.
